Washing the Cover:

• Zip closed prior to wash & dry
• Machine wash cold, alone, with detergent
• To refresh, add ½ cup baking soda to wash
• Tumble dry low thoroughly on low heat setting

• Lift side walls of bottom cover into a box-shape
• Fit all 3 core segments inside, making certain that all
  edges (especially the top edges) align flush against each other (no
  bumps or spaces in between)

Will the Kids' Twin Mattress fit my bed frame?

The mattress is designed to fit all traditional twin bed frames. It measures 38” x 75” x 5.5” ( LxWxH).

Are there flame retardants?

While many of our competitors use toxic chemical fire retardants, we do not. Instead, we use a layer of viscose material sewn into our cover. Viscose material is made from reconstituted wood pulp. We quilt this material into our mattress covers for a safer, non-toxic solution.

Is the mattress comfortable for my child?

Can I lay on this with my child?

We know how bedtime can be during the toddler and preschool years (“Just one more book?”). That said, this mattress is specifically designed for kids up to 100lbs. We don’t recommend that adults sleep on the mattress as it could impact the integrity of our patented Wovenaire® core. So snuggling together on the kids' mattress for one more book at bedtime is fine; however, sleeping for a longer duration on it is not recommended for parents.

What sheets should I use?

We recommend using a cotton sheet for the most comfortable and breathable sleep for your child. Because our mattress is 5.5" thick, it's best to find sheets with an 8" pocket to fit snuggly on the mattress.

Top Kids' Twin Mattress Questions

Our Kids’ Mattress is not waterproof, however, the cover is water resistant and the entire mattress is washable from cover to core! The removable cover can go into the washing machine and the core can be washed in the bathtub or shower! The core comes in 3 sections to make washing only the soiled area even easier.

You can certainly use a mattress pad! We make a breathable, waterproof mattress pad that fits just like a fitted sheet and makes quick changes easy to manage when accidents happen.

Kids are messy and we all know accidents happen! Our unique unique cover-to-core washability ensures that — no matter the mess — your big kid will have the cleanest night’s sleep, guaranteed!

Generally, parents will trade in their little one’s crib for a toddler or twin bed when the child is three years old or older, although there is no specific age at which you have to make the switch.

Some children transition earlier, like if they’ve outgrown their crib or toddler bed before age three, while others will transition later, especially if they’re more petite or their room is short on space.

It’s important to look at your child’s readiness before deciding when to introduce them to a big kid bed. Some kids look forward to this rite of passage, but for others, the transition is a bit scary. Follow your child’s lead.

A kid mattress is larger than a crib mattress, as it’s sized to fit a standard twin bed. It is also more comfort-driven and less firm than a crib mattress because there are not the same safety concerns with an older child.

There’s no exact answer to that, other than a supportive, comfortable, and breathable mattress. Some toddlers will feel most secure in their toddler bed, which uses a crib-sized mattress. Our Waterproof Mattress might be a good choice, especially if your little one is potty training!

If they’ve transitioned to their big-kid bed, then a breathable twin mattress with a washable cover (they may still have some “oopsies”) would be a good bet.

Some parents choose to let their child sleep on a twin mattress as part of a Montessori floor bed, which is made with the mattress close to the floor. These types of beds, also known simply as “floor beds,” don’t have rails to prevent your toddler from getting out of them.
